 The Conservation Leaders for Tomorrow Program offers university students in wildlife science and in biology programs who have never hunted the opportunity to experience the sport—as a valid management tool, as a recreational activity with a social and historical basis, and as a self-fulfilling pursuit.
This program was developed to introduce the activity to students raised in urban environments, so these young women and men, who are the future of the wildlife management profession and of the conservation movement, will not enter their careers with the preconception that hunters are not conservationists and are dangerous.
